Vivanta by Taj-Kumarakom (formerly Taj Garden Retreat ) Located near the famous backwaters of Kumarakom, the Taj used to be the estates of Mr Baker who was the largest land owner in the area. It has now been taken over by the Taj group and converted to a high end resort with cottages and rooms. They have a small lake within the property and the bird sanctuary of Kumarakom is located nearby.
