Brunton Boatyard, Fort Cochin
An elegant colonial-style hotel situated at the mouth of the Cochin harbour. All rooms have distinguished décor and a magnificent view of the sea and the harbour. There is an outdoor swimming pool, Ayurvedic Centre for basic treatments and massages, cooking sessions for guests, library, DVDs available on request, WiFi in lobby. In-room amenities: minibar, TV, air-con and Ayurvedic products from Boutique. There are two restaurants, The History serves Portuguese, Dutch, Arabic, Kosher and local Keralan dishes. Terrace Grill (closed in monsoon season) offers seafood. They also offer a complimentary sunset cruise for all their in-house guests. Cooking demo in the evenings, tea and snacks before the cruise are some of the added extras you get while staying at the Brunton Boatyard.
Our Opinion : Perhaps one of the best located properties in Cochin and the only property that has sea-view from all their rooms. A bit pricy but is well worth paying the extra if you are looking for that special touch. Great cuisine, friendly staff and great ambience. The ferry next-door can be noisy but rooms have sound proof windows.
