A restored managers bungalow amidst a working tea plantation overlooking the lake the Cloud Mountain is an ideal getaway from the well trod tourist trail. Surrounded by acres of tea plantations and tall mountains the area is also well known for its abundance of wildlife. It borders the tiger reserves of Meghamalai and Periyar wildlife sanctuary. It is very common to see elephants and gaurs roam the hills.
