Boating on the lake

Embark on a serene boating experience in Thekkady, which takes you along the pristine waters of the Periyar Lake. Hop aboard a comfortable boat and glide through the tranquil lake, surrounded by the lush greenery of the Periyar Tiger Reserve. Keep your eyes peeled for wildlife sightings, as the lake attracts various animals, including elephants, sambar deer, and wild boars, who come here to quench their thirst. The boat ride offers a peaceful and scenic journey, allowing you to soak in the natural beauty of the surroundings while enjoying the cool breeze and the soothing sounds of nature. This is normally a 1 – 2 hr( the first trip is for about 2 hrs, the rest are about 1 hr and the last boating is for about 1 and half hour). This is the most common way of spotting wildlife (deer,sambar, wild Gaur,Boar,Elephants, lots of birds and the occasional Tiger). This will not be a private cruise but on a public shared boat.
