Tellicherry Fort & Theyam dance

The Tellicherry Fort built by the British East India company in 1708 to establish a stronghold on the Malabar coast. The square fort, with its massive walls, strong flanking bastions, secret tunnels to the sea and intricately carved huge doors, is an imposing structure. Theyyam- the colorful trance dance in the local temples and Moplah cuisine;fusion of Arabic and North Kerala are the major attractions of this place.
