You could visit the Tea Museum managed by KDHP, the largest tea estate owners in the Munnar. The Museum houses some interesting artifacts from the colonial times and gives you a detailed history of the growth of Munnar. It also has a miniature tea factory where you could see the various processes of tea production. You could also visit Srishti, a project set up by TATA that provides a means of livelihood for people with disabilities. Srishti’s three training and rehabilitation units provide livelihood opportunities to 57 people with special needs. Munnar town offers good range of shops that sell different varities of Tea,spices and Aromatic oils. One of the main attractions near Munnar is the Eravikulam National Park. This park is famous for its endangered inhabitant - the Nilgiri Tahr. Spread over an area of 97 sq. km., this park is also home to several species of rare butterflies, animals and birds. The park is best visited early morning when it opens.
