Morning visit the Charminar, Chaumahalla palace and Laad bazaar, followed by a visit to the Salarjung museum in the afternoon. Charminar This splendid piece of architecture, in the heart of the city was built by Quli Qutub Shah, in 1591. This magnificent monument is the unique symbol of Hyderabad. Charminar is often called as "The Arc de triomphe of the East". It is considered as the legendary masterpiece of Qutub Shahi`s. This beautiful structure derives its name from four intricately carved minarets, The four graceful minarets literally meaning `Four Minars`, soar to a height of 48.7m each, above the ground. It is located amidst the colourful shops of Lad Bazaar with its glittering traditional bangles in the old city. The four-storied minarets rise 20m from the roof of the massive monument and measure 24m from the plinth. The western section of the roof contains a mosque, ranking among the finest the gifted Qutub Shahi artisans ever built.There are 45 prayer spaces with a large open space in front to accommodate more for Friday prayers. To the east of this space is a lovely verandah with a large open arch in the centre, flanked by smaller ones on both sides. Lad is a word meaning ‘indulgence’. Indeed, there is no better place in the city for the lady to indulge herself. The Lad Bazaar at is famous tourist shopping hub for pearls, stone studded colored bangles and other bridal finery. Due to the thriving pearl industry, Hyderabad is also known as the ‘City of Pearls’. The colorful Lad Bazaar lies on the right of Charminar, in the Old City. One of the oldest shopping centres in the city, the Lad Bazaar is an amazing mix of the ancient and the modern – an embodiment of Hyderabad. Its shops offer an assortment of henna, bridal wear and cosmetics. But the real draw is the exquisite range of lace and glass bangles, the pride and joy of the women of Hyderabad.The best bangles are available here. Chowmahalla Palace is near the Charminar. It comprises of four palaces. The Asif Jahi dynasty made this palace as their seat. The official guests as well as royal visitors were entertained here. The heart of the Chowmahalla Palace is called Khilwat Mubarak, and houses the Clock Tower, Council Hall and Roshan Bungalow. Roshan Bungalow was named after the sixth Nizam’s mother, Roshan Begum. Salar Jung Museum is located on the southern side of the river Musi. It is the third most prominent museum in India, domiciliation of the largest one-man aggregations of antiques in the world. This museum is very famous throughout India for its well-known collections of materials belong to various civilizations starting from first century. The museum is a majestic treat to the cognoscenti with an accumulation of more than 43,000 art materials and 50,000 books and manuscripts. The collections contain Children Art, European Art, Far Eastern Art, Indian Art, and Middle Eastern Art along with a gallery of founders and uncommon manuscripts section.
